An epic biography of a political and cultural titan, tracing Gandhi's rise to power from its beginnings when, as an educated attorney, he is imprisoned for disobeying an apartheid law in South Africa. The activist would ultimately command influence over thousands of Indians who followed his example of non-violent civil disobedience.
