Physics’ doctor Sandra Mets (Mari Abel) suddenly loses her job. Finding a new job seems easy at first, but turns out to be a tragi-comic experience. Endless job interviews introduce the main character to many different situations and personas from grotesque entrepreneur to fearless start-up managers. Otherwise thoughtful Sandra finds herself in a world of hypocrisy and strange power. She needs to adapt to new situations and people, but still has to ask how to remain herself.
The last year of WWII on Estonian turf. Men are fighting on the boarder of Europe and Russia. Some have been taken to the Red Army, some to Waffen SS. Today 70 years on, the filmmakers, try to show the hopes, aims and drama of these men and their loved ones as objectively as possible.
A journalist has gotten wind of corruption rumours involving politician Aadu Kägu. On the day the journalist tries to contact him, Aadu decides to go mushrooming with his wife. On their way they pick up a restless rocker named Zäk who has been hanging around in the backwoods after his summer tour. The group avoids the more crowded forests for mushroom picking and takes off blindly someplace that looks wild and deserted.
Last fall the third-year film students received a task to search for the spirit of an era that dates back at least 100 years. It was searched from Narva and Vilsandi, bogs and swamps, manors and farms. One can meet prophets and madmen, stubborn students, tortured men and longing women, werewolves, spiders and a pony along the way. The leading and supporting characters were brought to life by Juhan Ulfsak, Maria Advjuško, Märt Avandi, Helena Merzin, Mikk Jürjens, Meelis Rämmeld, Kersti Heinloo and many others.
