The action takes place nowadays. A young couple comes up against mysterious paranormal events - as if something infernal has invaded their life. As if they have been cursed. Trying to figure out what it is, the girl learns that her boyfriend has met a strange young woman by the forest lake and has been getting worse ever since. The couple finds out that this is usually caused by mermaids - drowned women who have not found peace and want to take revenge on the world. Now the girl has to get to grips with this mystical creature as the mermaid will keep coming back for her boyfriend until she can take him forever ...
